An Elemental Retreat

SarsoraSruraSaga: EOL

In an empty white void, a man sits upon an overstuffed pink armchair. He has long, salt n' pepper hair. He is dressed lavishly. He leans back, looking directly at you. His eyebrow twitches as he smiles, amused.

"I can see you, just sitting there... This is all just words on a screen to you."

The man reclines further, his eyes dancing merrily. He sighs as he reaches back to scratch his neck.

"I should start with my name, I guess. I am Sarsora Srura Saga, and I intend to tell you a story."

Again, 'Sarsora' sighs, looking resigned.

"I really do not like this new way of recording. I prefer notes and journal logs."

A muffled voice and a few choice words can be heard off in the background.

"Yeah, yeah, I know! I'm sorry for burning the Folio Apotheca down, and to the Abyss with your Latin, Eruidity!"

He turns once again, his face a mixture of shame, amusement, and sadness. He seems to stare into your soul, eyes sparkling of purest purple and flecked with silvery grey.

"I apologize, now, for the rest of my introduction. I am the Elemental of Life, and I am here to tell you a story…" He loses the face of concentration, now looking chagrined. "I already said that, didn't I? I said that? Yeah… I'm getting carried away."

He sighs and runs his long fingers through his long hair, thoroughly messing it up. His eyes open again, now a darker dusky gold.

"Maybe I can just show you." The dusky hue of his eyes seems to fill the room, and all that can be seen is a tunnel of gold. At the end of the tunnel, there is an open grassy hill with a gigantic oak tree at its crest. Five small children are running around it, each wearing a different mask. Suddenly, the tunnel disappears, and the tree almost seems more realistic. One of the children runs up to you, his mask is an ugly, goggled-eyed fish with gnarled horns.

"Play with me," you hear it, no, him, ask. A thought formulates in your mind. "Why should I play, where am I?" Following the latter thought, another forms. "You are in the Moon of Terminia. You are in the Dimension designated Triforcia." Along with that, one more appears in your head. "By the way, get out of my head." You are ejected outward, now seemingly to float above the child, looking down on the man, Sarsora, from before.

He speaks. "Sorry, kid. Kinda busy." Sarsora begins walking off toward the distant mountains, looking at the beautiful (if bleak) landscape. He walks off, disappearing into a dusky haze.

Now he is in a town, walking out of a large clock tower. Men, women, and children are all bustling about, apparently busy. Up above is a large moon, its face glaring down on all. You can see the Elemental sigh, messing up his hair again. You can now see two Elementals of Life, one who is one the ground, one floating next to you. "Well, this is Clock Town. I guess this is the beginning of my… insanity." He grimaces, pain obvious on his face. "I guess this also begins my true adventures, where I mess up, and try to fix my mess up, but mess it up further." He is now growling; strips of flesh peeling from his face, and you can feel yourself recoil from the emaciated visage before you. Revulsion turns to horror as you realize there is nothing there! No bones, no eyes, just an empty black void. His voice echoes up from the black depths. "Insanity has eaten away at me, and this will be a document of that descent. Yet, I think you might not enjoy this story. So, please, if you are squeamish, faint of heart or mind, or allergic to shellfish; do not continue this story."

The second Sarsora has disappeared. You look around, realizing this. Well, you try to look around, but your head seems to be stuck. You are staring at the moon, and there is the Elemental, flying swiftly to the Moon with a sword in his hand. With a mighty thrust, the Moon disintegrates into a fragmented fountain of colors.
