Lance heard the gunshot before he saw it and honestly, he wished he hadn't.
His chest was charred and bloody, a gaping hole where his lung was and-oh god, he couldn't breath.

He fell to his knees and caught Keith. "Keith! Y-you're gonna be okay! You're gonna be fine baby...it's not even that bad!" Tears welled up in his eyes and started to spill down his cheeks as he hushed and soothed Keith.

Keith smile shakily at him and cupped his cheek with his bloody hand. "Don't worry Lance...just-" he was cut off by a harsh, hacking cough that caused blood to dribble down his chin. "Just promise me something?" His breaths were harsh and short, as if they hurt.

"Anything." Lance swore as his voice cracked slightly.

"Don't-don't beat yourself up, and don't lose the boy I fell in love with…" he trailed off and his head lolled, his eyes getting glassy and his skin pale. Lance desperately shook him, trying to wake him up as he pleaded with him to wake up.

"Come on baby! Come on! Please! I can't do this without you!" He sobbed, holding him closely. "It's not fair! Y-We're supposed to get married, and live forever! Wh-why did you leave?! You're the first person I truly loved...I can't-" He pressed one last kiss to his cold forehead and tears dripped down onto Keith's pale face. "I'm sorry. Goodbye baby...see you in the next life...I'll look for you…"
