Rose Tyler awoke, looking around wherever the hell she was. From the looks of things, she was in some sort of 80s hotel. A bit odd, since she was just in the mansion.
For the longest time, she had travelled with the Doctor, until the fateful day that she was torn away from him all of a sudden, with just those last words that were never finished. "Rose Tyler…"
It'd been a year since then, with no word of the Doctor. She had tried blocking this out of her mind, and tried focusing on the other tasks, such as why some of the stars in the sky were disappearing. She wondered if she'd ever figure it out, what, with being stuck in this hotel.
So she decided to walk around the hotel, and there was no one else there. What had happened? Had she fallen into another alternate universe?
That was when she spotted a room. In a seemingly endless hallway, there was a room marked '19'. Rose didn't know why, but she had to open it.
So she did. And He was standing there.
The Doctor. Fresh as the day he'd regenerated, he stood there in his blue suit and with a sonic screwdriver in his pocket. In the other pocket, 3D glasses, and his hair as oddly naturally spiky as it ever was.
"Doctor?" she asked. This just wasn't possible. She approached him, and he was most definitely real. Then he began talking.
"Rose, I'm sorry, this was the only place we could meet up and communicate. I just, well, I just wanted to say it. What I couldn't say."
Rose listened carefully as he began what she had waited a year to hear.
"Rose Tyler…" I love you, she thought.
"Rose Tyler, I… hate you."
She took a step back. "What?"
"I can't believe I left you there on that beach, not knowing how much I hated you. Bad Wolf, more like Horrid Wolf. To think, I was so horrible as to leave you there thinking I would say god knows what."
"Doctor, what are you talking about?" she asked as she felt her heart shatter.
"The only reason I travelled with you was because they all left me. If Sarah Jane had asked to travel with me again rather then turn down my offer, you'd be out so fast."
"Stop it!" she yelled, with tears in her eyes.
"What a bitch you were, leading Mickey on as if you still liked him. If only you had loved him back, maybe you would've finally left the TARDIS to be with him. But know, you had to keep him believing. God, I had to save you so often, and it was just annoying. Can you do anything on your own? The one time you accomplished something you almost died and I had to waste a regeneration saving you arse!"
"Stop it!"
He got closer, his footsteps sounding as angry as his words. "Do you know the worst part of it all? The worst part of it was that I tried so hard to like you. Reminiscing with you, joking with you, but no, I couldn't bring myself to love you even slightly! Rose Tyler, I wish I had left you to die, but I was so lonely and pitying you for having a boring human life, I made the worst decision ever. I let you come onto my TARDIS. MY TARDIS! I LET A USELESS, SCUMBAG HUMAN ONTO MY FUCKING SHIP!"
"STOP IT!" she yelled. She fell to the floor, holding onto her face to cover up her tears, but they would not stop. She couldn't even bring herself to look back up. She didn't want to see him angry with her. That was what killed her. She didn't hate him, she hated herself for him hating her.
Kill me! JUST KILL ME! Rose thought to herself. And when after an hour of tears, she looked back up, to see no one there. She laid down on the floor, and closed her eyes again, hoping she would wake up from whatever nightmare this was.
