Title: My Sanctuary
AN: It's a short fic that I did in a rush. Hope you like it!!! This is Haruhi's POV
My Sanctuary
It was dark and cold that night. Rain kept on falling endlessly outside, followed by the thunder and lightning. I couldn't see it, but I could feel it; I could hear it ever so loudly.
My nightgown wasn't enough to keep the cold out and I shivered, holding myself tighter. Four solid walls were enclosed around me, but it wasn't enough. Fear crept upon me, tightening around my chest.
I fought with every drop of energy I have to stop that terrible fear that I was feeling. My every heartbeat screamed for it to stop. But it didn't; it never did.
'Cry for help,' a voice inside my head told me. 'Cry for his help.'
I gave the voice the same reply as always. No.
I continued to struggle fighting an impossible battle alone. As the fear drew closer, the last of my energy had deserted me. I stopped resisting, so it could finally claim me. That way, it would finally be over.
But then………
The doors that enclosed me flung open and a pair of strong arms engulfed me.
'Hey, didn't I tell you to call me?' his voice said. 'Didn't I tell you to run to me when you're afraid?'
He scooped me up in his arms easily and carried me out of my source of shelter.
I closed my eyes, shaking terribly to be out in the open with my fear. I was so afraid.
'Shhhhh….' He soothed, setting me down only to wrap me in his arms once more. 'I'm here.'
It's as if those two words he had said were a powerful spell that it banished the fear that I felt for a moment. It calmed my restless heart.
His warmth flowed through my body, breaking the icy tension.
I opened my eyes. His smiling face and comforting violet eyes melted away the fear and sadness I felt, instantly.
'Haruhi,' he said. 'I love you.'
As his soft lips touched mine, I couldn't hear anymore, the thunder or the rain.
He hugged me again. 'Don't be afraid.' From his touch, I knew he wasn't going to let go of me anytime soon.
'Tamaki…senpai….'
I realized then, when I held onto him tighter, smiling comfortably, that as long as he's there, my fears felt like nothing. No, they were nothing.
'Hmmm?'
I'm safe with him. I'm safe inside my sanctuary.
'Thank you.'
Heheheheh, that's all. So? Whatcha think? Please Review!!! Thanks.
