Something Borrowed - Three of Four. Directly follows Something New.

Pairings: RyoSaku and TomoHorio.

A/N: Here's three, sorry for the semi-wait. Hopefully I'll have the fourth and final one up before I leave for camp from July first to the twelfth. :) Please enjoy!

"Here," Tomoka said, appearing over Sakuno's shoulder in one swift motion. She jumped slightly, brought out of her reverie, but turned her neck to try and see what her friend was talking about. Unfortunately, the woman seemed to have changed her mind.

"Stand up," her best friend commanded and Sakuno did, facing the mirror with her back to Tomoka. Something cold and metallic met her skin and Sakuno couldn't help but smile, bringing her hand up to touch it as her friend fastened it in the back.

"It's beautiful Tomo-chan," she said, admiring the intricate designs on the necklace, the way the silver ran itself in and out seamlessly, somehow looking incredibly fluid – almost like it was moving. Her best friend smiled.

"It's the same one I wore on my wedding day," Tomoka told her, smiling. "It suits you well."

"I'm really happy for you." Even though it was most definitely not the first time she had told her that, Sakuno knew how sincere she was. "You two will be really happy together."

"I hope so," Sakuno said, some of the previous butterflies reviving themselves. Tomoka gave her a knowing and reassuring smile.

"You will." Tomoka's eyes went slightly distant, though the contented expression on her face did not diminish. "It's nerve-wracking at first, but as soon as you realize you're actually married… it's nice. It's nice to know that there's somebody else you can depend on." Sakuno nodded, honestly believing what her friend was telling her; after all, she and Tomoka had been best friends since elementary school, and ever since Tomoka and Horio had gotten married – or, really, started dating – her friend had been the happiest Sakuno had ever seen her, even with the occasional problems, and Sakuno could only hope her marriage turned out just as wonderful.

"It will," Tomoka said, reading the expression on her friend's face with exceptional accuracy. She glanced over at the clock, and smiled. "It's almost time."

Sakuno just nodded, a slight smile gracing her features as most of the nerves settled. It was time.
