Solace
- for kessie -
Egypt was not what Harry was expecting. It was hot, but it was a dry heat, it warmed his bones and he spent a lot of the time barefoot, finding his feet again after the war.
It was not chance that led him here, to the house of the eldest Weasley brother, but an opportunity to work on his craft as a Parselmouth in an Egyptian Temple.
He talked to snakes during the day and didn't seem to notice Bill's looks towards his naked feet on the low coffee table at night.
Harry didn't know what he was expecting when he received a long-distance owl from Hermione a month later, telling him to take a chance.
But he soon discovered that Bill's mouth was as soft as it looked, as they stood awkwardly, Bill's large hands trembling slightly as they framed Harry's face.
Harry found that the Fang earring was as fun to play with as he had imagined.
