I stand alone,
Encased in Darkness,
Searching for a way
To set my mind free
But I'm afraid
To let you see
The nightmares behind my eyes.

This darkness encompasses me
Taking me away
Hiding me away
From all the bad shit
That seems to happen to me.

Here I stand
Alone in the darkness
Hiding away from this nightmarish reality
The only haven from myself
Is within the darkness
That lies inside me.

Through my eyes lies the darkness
Within the darkness lies the nightmare
Something I'm afraid of

Because the nightmare....is me.
