Riku – The Organisation's Black Coat

The black coat fit perfectly. Too perfectly, like it had been made for him, and had waited for him.

Maybe he had. The past had been cleverly orchestrated. He knew that. Maybe it had been orchestrated to that end. To him becoming a Nobody, one of the Organisation.

Maybe he'd been meant to wear that coat all along.

Except he wasn't a Nobody, and that made a big difference, he told himself. He was still Riku. He had his heart, still. Though he'd come close to losing it. Very close.

He wondered what his name would have been, if he had become one of the Organisation's. Throw in an "x" and shuffle the letters around – Xukir? Rixuk? Ikrux? They all sounded pretty silly to him, but he'd heard sillier names through the world. And he supposed that, without a heart, he wouldn't have been too concerned as to whether his name sounded silly or not.

But because he was only pretending, he could afford to think like – amongst the more troubling thoughts.
