Leah was never the jealous type. She had never been like this with previous boyfriends, but when it came to Embry, she got annoyed with any girl who looked his way. Maybe it was the fact that Embry attracted the bleach blonde bimbo types, she didn't know. But she knew she hated it. As she watched him talk to some skimpy blonde across the hall, she couldn't help but want to punch the girl's face in. Watching her twirl her hair around her finger in a flirtatious was driving her crazy. But she knew if she said anything, Embry would never let her live it down.
"You okay," Ness asks, spinning the combination on her locker. Her eyes still locked on Embry and the blonde, Lean sighs. "I'm great," She says. Ness turns to look in the direction Leah is. She looks form Embry, to the girl, and back to Leah. "What's wrong with you? Since when do you get jealous," She asks closing her locker. "I'm not jealous," Leah snaps, fixing her gaze on Ness.
"Mhm, sure you're not. Face it boo, you want to knock that chick out," Ness giggles, hugging her books to her chest. Leah sighs heavily and turns her attention back to Embry and the girl. The girl leans in and runs her hand down Embry's arm in a more than friendly way. "Screw it," Leah thinks, beginning to walk in their direction.
Leah walks up and wraps her arm around Embry's. "Hey," She says, smiles up at him a little flirtatiously. "Hey," Embry says, smiles back down at her. Leah turns to the girl. "Hi," She says, giving a fake smile. "Hi Leah," The girl says, looking annoyed. "You're coming over Ness' after school right," Leah asks, turning her attention back to Embry. It was a stupid question, she knew, because they always hung out at Ness' after school.
"Yeah, don't I always," Embry says, looking a little confused. "Good," Leah says before leaning up to kiss him. She hears the girl clear her throat after a few minutes. They both pull away to look at her. "I'll uh catch you in Algebra tomorrow Embry. Bye Leah," She says, walking away. Leah rolls her eyes which causes Embry to chuckle.
"What," Leah asks, looking at him. "Nothing, it's just, you're cute when you're jealous," She beams. "I was not jealous," Leah scoffs. "Were too," Embry argues. "I was not jealous," She repeats, annoyed. "Were too," Ness giggles walking by. "Shut up Ness," Leah says loudly down the hall after her. "Love you," Ness shouts back at her, before disappearing.
"Was not," Leah grumbles. "Were too," Embry chuckles, placing his hand under her chin to kiss her softly. Okay, so maybe she was a little bit, but she would never let him hear her say it out loud.
