"Steady Ashley" She heard her mother speak.
Ashley was excited and nervous at the same time. Her mother had finally decided to teach her how to shoot a gun, after endless attempts at trying to convince her she was old enough to.
She held the gun with shaky hands and her finger rested on the trigger.
"Mom..."The young blonde let out. She was hesitating.
"You're doing fine, darling." Helen smiled. "Just relax and pull the trigger."
"What if I miss?"
"You won't."
Ashley took a deep breath and squeezed the trigger. As the gun fired, she jolted back due to recoil. She felt her mother's hands on her back and relaxed some.
"That's very good, Ashley."
"That was awesome!" Ashley grinned as she looked to her mother. "I can't wait to actually shoot this baby on other things!"She flung her arms about, accidently setting off the gun in the process. Thankfully, it was pointed up at the ceiling.
Helen quickly took the gun away and pulled Ashley against her as bit of the ceiling came down.
After the dust settled, she made sure that Ashley wasn't hurt.
"This is why you're not firing a gun outside these walls."Helen spoke sternly, as she flicked the safety on.
