Steven's Journey, a fanfic with a Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire storyline.
I had this very awkward dream last night…that this very hairy man with brown hair was talking to me about Pokemon like I didn't know shit. Hell, if you turn the corner, you'd probably find two Pokemon in the middle of an intercourse in town. The man, I didn't care what his name was when he told me had the nerve to ask what gender I was, like he couldn't see that I was a boy? We did a bunch of small chat and I was jolted out of my dream when the moving van came to a stop. Several boxes nearly fell on me but luckily I was able to keep them up. I opened the door and jumped off the edge into the ground, grunting at the height between the van and the ground I cursed to myself for my short height. My mom came up to me and greeted me,
"It must be tiring to ride in the back of the van with all our stuff, isn't it, Steven?" She asked pulling me into a hug. I flinched back. Mother never hugged me unless she wanted something. She frowned when I pushed her away as I studied her closely. She had globs of makeup on that didn't quite hide her crow's feet at the age of 39. I walked right past her, her following behind me. I ran my fingers through my dirty blonde hair.
I sighed, I never wanted to move to the Hoenn region just to see dad. My parents were divorced after all, why would mom want to move here? Mom probably met some man over the internet and decided to move here just to be with him. She forced me to leave the Johto region and all my friends. The only friend I had left was my Girafarig, Mansuetus, on my belt. I wouldn't let him out yet, until all the mover's Machoke moved all the furniture inside. One particular Machoke was watching T.V. and I sighed. My mom appeared in front of me.
"I found a clock in one of the neighbor's trash while you were still in the moving van. It still worked so I put it up in your new room. Why don't you go set it?" She gave a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.
I shrugged and went upstairs and opened the door on the left and walked inside. My mother was such a cheap person. Sure enough on the ugly off white walls, was a baby blue clock with a small crack in it. I hated that color! I twisted the knob on the side to 10:42 A.M. and my mom came up right as soon as my fingers left the knob.
"Oh honey, check your desk to make sure everything's there." She said but I ignored her and walked right past her downstairs where the Machoke were all gone. The T.V. was still on. I stopped in front of it seeing my father's gym on it.
"We bring you this interview from Petalburg gym." The reported said cheerfully. Obviously she was on caffeine because her eyes were wide and she had a sense of squirrel-ness to her. Why would they even interview my dad, he was a drug dealer behind the mask of a gym leader? I walked out the front door to explore my neighbor's house since no one knocks anyway.
