It was a normal day for Leo. He served coffee at Starbucks. It was the only job he could keep, though. Still, it was a job. There was a good part to working at Starbucks. Girls. There were girls. And we all know how much Leo loved them.
Calypso walked into Starbucks. Gazing over the menu, she was ready to order. As she stepped up to the counter Leo smiled at her. "Hello beautiful. I'm Leo, what can I get for you today?"Leo asked, putting on his best grin.
The girl rolled her eyes. "A medium frappucino, with whip cream and caramel." Leo looked at her. "Are you sure you can handle that," he smiled. "That's a lot of sugar." Calypso glared at him. The boy laughed. "That will be 3.40 and a date." Leo said.
Calypso wasn't one to easily date boys. She only liked three before. The most recent was Percy, though. She looked at Leo. She wasn't his… Type. He was to scrawny. She looked at Leo uneasy and pulled out 3.50. Calypso set it on the counter, took her coffee and left.
Leo put the money in the register and went to give her the change. When he looked up, she was walking out. Leo shook his head furiously. Mad, he couldn't even get her name.
It depressed Leo for the rest of the day. He seemed to like the girl. She was different. Didn't flinch or smile at the compliment he gave her. She didn't seem to be affected by it at all. When he got to his apartment, he thought of her.
Until the next day. When he walked in, he saw her. She was talking to the manager, Atlas. I walked over and smiled at the boss. "Leo, get over here." He shouted through the shop. Leo threw on his apron and ran over. "Yes," he muttered.
"You're gonna show Calypso around." Leo's smile brightened at the minute. Calypso had a frown on her face. "Did you come to work here because you wanted to see me?" Leo asked. She shook her head and notched it towards Atlas. "The old man wanted me to work."
The old man. Leo looked from Calypso to Atlas, trying to find the similarities. They were nothing alike. And when Leo said nothing he meant it. Atlas looked nothing like Calypso. Nothing.
Calypso looked at Leo. "C'mon." She started towards the back to set a pot of coffee shook his head and tried to grab the handle. "You're doing it wrong!" He said. But Calypso, knowing how to make coffee, tried to grab it from him. As their argument started to heat up, Calypso gave a huge tug on the handle. Leo let go, and his eyes widened. The hot coffee, spilled all over the girl.
Leo looked at the girl and frowned. "I am so sorry," he muttered. "Get away from me." Calypso said, her eyes closed tight. She ran to the bathroom and started wiping her shirt off. Leo, being the nice quirky boy, brang her a towel. He walked straight into the girls bathroom and handed it to her. She took it and started patting her face. "Look, I'm sorry."
Calypso looked at the boy wide eyed and smiled. "Don't worry, get out before you get fired." She laughed and pushed Leo out. Things went well for the rest of the day. When it came to closing time, she smiled at Leo and he smiled back. "What about that date you owe me from yesterday? It's still up." Leo grimaced at the girl. And yet they didn't know it, but everyone else knew. That was the start of a beautiful relationship. Caleo as some call it.
