The man in the iron mask

Note: This is my theory of who the man in the iron mask in Earth-2 is. In two days, we'll all know if I am right or wrong.

Barry looked at the man in the cell. When they were both Zoom's prisoners on Earth-2, Barry promised he would come back to rescue him. But when Barry finally realized who he actually was, he hesitated. Harry was with him on the rescue mission. He reminded Barry that this guy knew too much, they had to kill him or bring him back. Harry was right, so Barry knocked this guy out and brought him back to his old cell. Now that he was awake, they could question him. Zoom once told Barry that, even if he were told who the man in the iron mask was, Barry wouldn't believe it. Zoom was telling the truth about that much at least. It was Eobard Thawn, the reverse-flash, the man who killed Barry Allen's mother all those years ago.

Barry: I have some questions for you. First of all, how are you even here? I saw you ereased from existence.
Eobard: Did you now? If I never existed, how could you even remember me?
Harry: I actually had some theories on that, but they might prove academic now.
Eobard: If you look back, you might see I never actually said that Eddie was my direct descendant. I said he was a distant relative, Eddie assumed the rest.
Barry: But you were ereased just as Eddie died.
Eobard: Actually I wasn't, at least not in the original timeline. From Zoom's point of view, Eddie killed himself in a desperate attempt to save you, but it failed. I was momentarily distracted, but I still ended up killing you. I have to admit it was a brilliant move on Zoom's part. To kidnap me, when my powers were at their peak. And to let you live long enough to further develop your powers.
Harry: Which allowed Zoom to steal your speed force. This not only left this team off-guard about your plans, but I assume you have also been providing him with intel.
Eobard: Yeah, that's why I've survived this long.
Barry: You're going to tell us all you know of Zoom. In return, you'll have the same treatment here, this prison.
Eobard: I accept. Now that you've captured me, Zoom isn't forgiving or a stickler for reasonable doubt. Stopping him is my only chance or surviving. As long as I'm alive, there's always the hope I can escape somehow. But before we begin I want one thing, as a sign of good faith.
Harry: What's that?
Eobard: A Big Belly Burger. I haven't had anything good to eat in over a yeat now.

Note: I just saw the season finale. I admit, Renegade hero and Lady Sarlon were right. Still, it was a great finale.
