A Love That Lasts Forever

I do not have any rights to the characters. I am just borrowing them. So please don't sue me: ~)

This is my first fanfiction so I hope you all enjoy.

Marguerite was fixing her hair when there was a light knock on the door.

"Marguerite my love, may I come in?"

Before Marguerite could reply Veronica spoke, "Lord John Roxton you should know better, it is bad luck to see the bride before the wedding. Now go, you will see her later." Once Roxton had left Veronica entered the room. "Wow, you look so pretty in that dress. Oh here let me help you," she said as she helped Marguerite put on her necklace.

Marguerite was excited but nervous at the same time. She never saw her self as the marrying type. She never thought she would actually find someone that loved her and not her money. But she had found that special someone and was glad that she finally recognized it and opened her heart to let him in.

Roxton felt a strange nervous excitement run through his body. He couldn't believe that this was all happening. He'd loved marguerite since that first time he saw her but never thought she would ever feel the same way. Making his way over to the balcony he saw Challenger, Malone and Summerlee making last minute preparations. He had offered to come down and help, but Challenger had told him that it was his wedding day and it was the least they could do considering all he had done for them. He looked down to see what a wonderful job they had all done. Challenger and Malone had constructed the altar while Summerlee had taken flower petals and scattered them making a beautiful pathway leading up to the altar.

Marguerite was just about ready. She took one last look at herself. There was no turning back now. This was it. She stepped out of her room where Veronica, her maid of honor was waiting for her. "Ready?"

"Ready as I'll ever be." They stepped into the elevator and descended out of the tree house.

Roxton stood nervously at the altar his two best men standing beside him. Summerlee Bible in hand stepped in to act as the minister. As Marguerite stepped outside Roxton gasped at the site of her beauty. "She looks absolutely radiant," he said to himself. As Marguerite walked up the aisle everyone was smiling. Ned and Veronica joyfully looked at each other, happy for their two friends. Marguerite reached the altar and Roxton took her hand. The love they shared glowing all round them.

"If everyone is ready we shall begin," Summerlee said beginning the ceremony. "Marriage is a sacred and holy bond between two people…"

Roxton looked at Marguerite and couldn't help but smile. He was never happier. He had dreamed of this day ever since he'd met her.

Marguerite was glad as the tension that had been building inside her slipped away as she stepped up and took Roxton's hand. He had that affect on her. No matter how bad she was feeling just his touch could turn her whole world around.

"Now in the presence of God and all your friends I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Still in a daze, Roxton kissed his new bride sweet and tenderly. As they walked off together Ned and Veronica picked up flowers petals and showered them…

Marguerite awoke looking around her. Had it all been a dream? Was none of it real? The man lying next to her stirred and asked, "My love, is something wrong?" "No," she said, as she lay back down. Her dream might not have been real but Roxton's love for her was and she knew that it would last forever. Her lover put his arms around her and pulled her close as she closed her eyes. He too closed his eyes and joined her in her dreams.
