A/N Just watched the finale!!!!!!!!! :-)
Zuko was intoxicated with his own power. He could do anything, he was as potent as he could ever dream to be. So why was he so upset? But it didn't matter. He couldn't let it effect his reunion with his estranged father. Still Iroh's last look at him was fizzling throughout his mind. Zuko had done everything Iroh had taught against. He had ruined his only allie's trust in him. He had no one, but Azula.
Azula had finally shown Zuko that he could make a legacy of his own. He didn't need Father to define who he was. He paved his own way. Azula had proven herself trustworthy. The two had made a strong team defeating Ba Sing Sei. And now, with the Avatar out of the way and nothing stopping them, when Sozen's commit arrived they could harness it's clout and claim the world for The Fire Nation. Everything, was finally going his way. Father would be proud.
Zuko had made a difference. His influence on the war was no longer a juvenile treasure hunt for the Avatar. He had a substantial amount of sway in the battle. He was no longer no one. He wanted to forget he had ever been any different than the commanding prince Azula had made him. But, something wouldn't let him let go of everything he had crushed to accomplish his dream. Iroh had been the only person who cared for so long. How could he betray him? Iroh was always there to give Zuko new perspective. He had been so inspirational.
Suddenly, Zuko's mind snapped to his dream. When he was sick, he had drempt of two dragons. He had no scar, and was the Fire Lord. One dragon was trying to convince him to join it. The other thought he ought to stay strong, and resist. It all made sense now. It was Iroh and Azula. In real life, Zuko had teamed up with Azula. Did this mean he was weak, like in the dream? Had Azula convinced him to join her squad, or had he decided? Instantly, he felt used. That same day, all he was aspiring to, was being proud of Iroh's tea shop. How could Azula manipulate him into changing his entire destiny? He had always thought his scar had decided his destiny, Iroh had taught him he could do anything, not Azula.
Zuko, struggled to tell himself these thoughts were lies. But, the truth was, Azula could easily double-cross him and take the glory for the entire coo. She could be luring him to the fire nation. Wasn't she sent to find Zuko so many months ago, anyways? He had to escape. He had to do something. He had played into his own trap. He couldn't just leave. Azula would go after him. He was no longer a regal allie, in his mind or Azula's. He was a prisoner.
