"And when you find
Everything you looked for
I hope your love
Will leave back to my front door
And if you don't
Stay beautiful"

-Stay Beautiful by Taylor Swift.

"What are you doing," Sophie laughed. She raised an eyebrow and saw sat cross legged on the floor absentmindedly playing with the fringe on the rug of the Gryffindor common room.

Sirius grunted in reply, "What does it look like? I'm wooing you."

At the moment he was valiantly attempting to use his wand to light a lavender scented candle. The purple candle really didn't want to cooperate. He'd been trying to light it up for the past ten minutes. Needless to say this wasn't their most romantic Valentine's Day.

Sophie rose and skipped over to Sirius, "Who bought the candles?"

"Uh, I think it was James. I had to go get your chocolates, and he volunteered to buy them," Sirius explained, not really paying attention.

"Think about your answer for one second," Sophie advised, trying to hide the smile the forming on her lips.

Sirius put his wand down. For a moment he stood there and thought. What was Sophie talking about? Then it hit him. He snatched the candle and checked the bottom. There was a sticker that said "Zonko's Trick Candle".

"That little… I'll kill him," Sirius announced.

Sophie watched him amusedly, "Sirius, if you do that Lily will murder you in your sleep for killing her Valentine. Then I'll get mad, and Remus will have to separate us. It would just turn into one big, bloody mess."

Sirius sighed and wrapped his hands around Sophie's waist, pulling her close to him. He brushed a stray curl out of her face.

"Sorry this Valentine's Day bites. I thought it'd be perfect. I cleared out the entire common room for us. Then you were allergic to the chocolates I got you. I should've known that you were allergic to peanuts. And what with the candles; I really screwed up. Didn't I," Sirius asked.

"Kind of," Sophie admitted, "You should know not to let James shop for you, and that I'm allergic to peanuts. That was just bad boyfriend skills on you part."

"No need to make me feel bad," Sirius pouted.

Sophie laughed and pulled his tie. Sirius' face was only inches away from hers. It would make almost any other girl die of blushing. He grinned at her impishly and she smile in turn.

"Happy Valentine's Day, you prat," Sophie mumbled. She pulled his lips against her own.

"Love you," he murmured against her lips.

When they pulled away Sophie smiled brightly, "Love you too."

Cute, huh? I really like how it came out. Especially considering how I'm not adept to writing about them without James and Lily.

In case you're wondering who Sophie is, she's my OC from my James/Lily story, Because of Me. Which you should read *hinthint*.

Disclaimer: Jo owns half of this story. She's owns Sirius, I own Sophie. We're evenly matched (except not really.)
