Many decades had passed since Druss the Legend, had stood on the walls of Dros Delnoch, and faced the Nadir hordes. The tale of his tragic sacrifice had began the dawning of a new age for the Drenia, an age from which would emerge several generations of heroes; This has been known as the "Age of Bronze" in honor of Regnak the wanderer, the second man to be ever called the "Earl of Bronze". Since the three great Nadir wars, the war of the twins and the Demon War that followed, the lands of the Drenai had long since become accustomed to the taste of blood, and so hungering the land gave birth to a man who make all those before him seem as shadows.even Druss the Legend. This man would be known to the nadir as The Feind. In Gothir they would call him the Sword Stalker; to the ventrians refer to him simply as The Evil One. The Drenai, his own people would come to know him as Rayne the Redeemer.
