"YOU MEAN YOU EXPECTED HIM TO COME?!" Watanuki screeched, flailing at his boss, Doumeki following suit with a finger in his ear. "What are you wearing!?"
Yuuko smiled coyly, running her fingers along the brim of her purple fedora. "A hat," she answered, the feather drooping oh-so-classily as she took a hip-swinging step and laughed. "We're in America, Watanuki-kun! It's the late 1800's!"
"What are you talking about?!" he shouted, above the overjoyed cries of 'Dolly! Dolly!' from Maru, Moro, and Mokona. "We're still in the shop! And it's not the 1800s! AND WE'RE NOT IN AMERICA."
"How do you know?" she swung-stepped her way to Doumeki and twirled her hat onto his head, where it clashed with his stoic expression.
"So here's my hat, fellas," the space-time witch sang, english words filling the air as she spun around and fell back onto her chair, smiling. "I'm stayin' at where I'm at, fellas!"
"WHAT ARE YOU SING--"
"Promise you'll never go away again," Doumeki added, smooth baritone picking up where she had left off.
"YOU KNOW WHAT SHE'S TALKING ABOUT?!" Watanuki screamed, drowned out by Yuuko's laughter and the new chant of 'Dolly will never go away again!'
"You're lookin' great, Stanley--" Yuuko crooned to Watanuki, grasping his arms in hers, ('MY NAME'S NOT STANLEY!') " You lose some weight, Stanley?" ('I'M SKINNY ENOUGH') "--Dolly's overjoyed and overwhelmed and over par!" She thrust him into Doumeki, who immediately grabbed him.
Watanuki sputtered, thrown off balance, wriggling in Doumeki's sudden vicegrip. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR. YUUKO, STOP SINGING. YOU'RE MAKING DOUMEKI SING. THE COSMIC BALANCE IS BEING... BEING... UNBALANCED!! Let me go already, Doumeki!! ...Doumeki!"
"...Dolly'll never go away again."
The archer's hold on him tightened and he almost seemed to snicker with the light atmosphere but he seemed questioning, like he really wanted him to stay and Watanuki hated how he blushed so, so much at that moment.
