Bulletproof

by: apple jacks jules

Note: I wrote this for a challenge on Psychfic, but I haven't posted it there yet (long story, but it will happen soon, if all goes well), but I have every intention of doing that ASAP, so check for it there, too :). My prompt was the title, "bulletproof".

Special thanks to my lovely twini fyd818 for the read through/encouragement. You rock, girl!!! :D

They only had one chance.

There really wasn't another option; there was not going to be another rehersals, any more tries to get this right. For everyone, it was now or never. And they were literally going to put themselves in the line of fire to figure it out. They were going to risk getting themselves killed to find out who the shooter was.

No way. I couldn't let that happen; I was a cop, it had to be me. I was scared, but I was the only logical choice.

...after all, I was the one with the bulletproof vest.

Fin.

Note: Yes, a drabble. I am cursed with the obsession with writing them (and that was part of the challenge) :p lol I hope you enjoyed!! :D
