(Present)
A smoky gray queen dragged herself through the undergrowth towards the ThunderClan territory border. Her tail lay limp upon the ground, trailing her pathetically. She seemed to struggle putting one ginger paw in front of her black one. Her blue eyes, edged with amber, stared blankly at the brown dust. Her fur lay ungroomed and sticks and leaves stuck out took one last step before she collapsed, and her body heaved with sobs.
Her cries echoed through the forest and was picked up by a brown tabby she-cat. The cat looked up startled, her amber eyes alert. She dropped the coltsfoot she had been carrying and raced to the border. The tabby nearly ran into the patrol, led by a dark russet she cat.
"Squirrelflight!" gasped the brown tabby.
The deputy of ThunderClan meowed, "Leafpool. Did you hear-"
Another wail echoed through the forest. The two sisters bristled at the horrible sound.
"Come on!" growled Spiderleg, shooting forward. The rest of the patrol fell into his pace, racing through brackens and ferns towards the northern border. Leafpool followed. She had barely broken through the last bracken curtain when she heard Mousewhisker growl, "Who are you?"
"Be nice!" came Hazeltail's growl. "Can't you tell she's grieving?"
"Well she doesn't have to come to our territory and mope." retorted Mousewhisker.
Leafpool shouldered through the crowd of warriors and gasped when she saw the other she-cat.
"Emberfire!"
Her Clanmates stiffened.
"How do you know her?" hissed Squirrelflight in her ear.
"She's the loner queen I told you about." replied Leafpool, eyes betraying a stunned look. "Emberfire! What happened?"
She peered around Emberfire.
"Where are your kits?"
At this, Emberfire lurched to her feet. Hazeltail, Mousewhisker, Spiderleg, and Squirrelflight drew closer to Leafpool, warily watching the foreign cat. But the loner did nothing. She looked up, her eyes full of terrible pain.
"I've lost everything." she whispered. Leafpool strained her ears.
"What?"
"It's gone." croaked the queen. "My kits, my mate. I've been betrayed. Everything is gone."
Meadow: -complains- It's too short! It's too dramatic! You added no humor! There must be a thousand miswordings! You didn't characterize the characters from the actual Warriors stories properly! AND you forgot to add the disclaimer that you don't own Warriors! Just your characters!
Owl and Ash: *irritated*
Ash: Please someone review! *glare at Meadow* Before I claw her ears off!
Owl: *unsheathes claws* Let me join in!
Meadow: O.O Someone save me!
