Disclaimer: I don't own Fraiser
Summery: When Dahpne accidentally breaks something that Fraiser's late son made he punishes her by making her clean up the messiest smelliest room in the house and says he will deal with the rest of it late. Niles comes by when she's cleaning and comes to her rescue. Sequel to Harsh Words For A Caller.
Niles knocked on the door. Dahpne answered the door.
"Good morning Dr. Crane," she said.
"Dahpne you look positively sick. What's wrong," he asked putting a hand on her shoulder.
"Nothing," she said, "I have to clean the bathroom and the attic as part of my punishment for breaking your nephew's art project. Your brother said he'll deal with the rest later."
She shuttered slightly.
"He will do no such thing," Niles said firmly, "I am going to have a word with Frasier."
"Thank you Niles," Dahpne said, "Well the sooner I clean the bathroom and the attic the sooner it's o'er and done with."
"You are not going to clean anything," Niles said, "That bathroom cannot be cleaned without plenty of hard work and that attic hasn't been touched in years."
Niles got a basket and removed the items that didn't belong in the bathroom. He put the cups and trash in the garbage bag and put the clothes in to the hamper as he would do a load later.
"Niles I was told I needed to do it," Dahpne said, "He'll get mad at me if I don't."
"Fraiser is in phase two of grief and it is unhealthy the way he is trapped in it."
He then applied the scrub powered to the sink, shower and toilet.
"It will take a few minutes before it's ready," he said, "How about some breakfast."
"I'm afraid I'm not a good cook," Dahpne said.
"Well that's fine," he said, "I happen to be delicious and I make a good cream of wheat."
"Oh I'd love some," Dahpne said, "Me older sista used to make that for me when I was sick or sad."
"I thought you had brothers."
"Tatina passed away of breast cancer when she was 19," Dahpne said.
