Kira's eyes grew soft for a short moment. Her Sand Village headband flashed in the dim glow of the moon. "When will you be back?" Pain lurked within her voice.
"I won't be." Sasori turned and slowly commenced his leave.
"Sasori, wait!" Kira laid her hand on his left shoulder. He spun around and attached his lips to hers. "Don't leave me." Kira's long black hair hung limp as her wistful state returned.
"You'll see me again, Kira. I love you." Sasori rested his hand gingerly on Kira's bulging stomach. "Take care of him Kira." Sasori attempted to leave once more. A tear raced down Sasori's cheek.

"Nagano, Kira." Lady Chiyo let out as she waltzed into the room.
"Hm?" Kira looked up at her grandmother in-law.
"You're at the ripe age of 15 and already a mother…" Chiyo shook her head.
"What do you mean?" Kira cocked her head slightly.
"It just doesn't seem natural, and I assume the four-tailed serpent has been passed down on Pein?"
"Yes, of course."
"What about the Metallic KekkaiGenkai?" Lady Chiyo ran her hand gently across the infant's head.
"No, but Samoku says he'll be a great Puppet Master." Kira smiled.
"Lady Chiyo!" A new voice tore through their thoughts. "There's an attack on the village!"
"What?" Chiyo gasped. "Kira you go I'll watch the little one!" Kira nodded in agreement.
"Who's attacking?" Kira asked the messenger as they sprinted down the hall.
"Rogue ninja, a whole army!" The messenger was out of breath by the time he led Kira out of the building.
Kira drove four metallic spikes out of her lower jawbone. She ducked as a shuriken flew at her. A large male ninja with a long blade swung at Kira. She shot metal from her hand and it wrapped his throat. She slowly closed her fist and the metal imploded.
"Blade!" Kira called out to her dragon. A gigantic shadow soared over the fighting ninja. (Dragon Masters are rare humans that are able to speak with reptiles, but dragons are even rarer.)
Kira freaked as a baby's scream rose above all other sounds. She gaped as Chiyo held Pein outside of the window. She carelessly dropped the infant. "No!" She screamed as she frantically drove herself to an impossible speed. Kira glared heavily up at Lady Chiyo as she held Pein in a tight embrace.
"How could you?" Kira yelled. "How could you?"
Time Passes
"Blade, watch Pein." Kira silently stepped into the dark cave. "The organization known as the Akatsuki has been rumored to be hiding out in here."
Kira's eyes flashed to adjust to the dim light. Those seals were pathetic. Kira thought to herself.
"And who might you be?" A voice hissed.
"Nagano Kira. I think I may be of assistance to your organization." Kira answered.
"You think or you know?" The voice asked.
"I know." Kira drove the spikes in and out of her jawbone.
"Kira?" A strikingly familiar voice found Kira's ears.
