I sat there, staring into the distance. Naruto was dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. He was announced dead after his team returned from a mission without him. My short pink hair fluttered in the wind. A storm was coming. But I didn't care. I sat on the rock by the lake me and Naruto always used to hang out by. I stared at the lake. In all of it's shimmering beauty, it caused me so much pain. To remember Naruto. My best friend, my boyfriend.
"Sakura-Chan!" shouted Naruto.
"Yes Naruto-Kun?" Sakura replied.
He answered her with a kiss. Sweet, and passionate. He broke the kiss for a moment,amd whispered, "I love you." Before pressing his lips to hers once again.
When they broke the kiss she whispered, "I love you too! Forever and always!"
Tears streamed down her cheeks at the memory of what used to be. It started drizzling, small, light, raindrops hit my cheeks. But I didn't care. I just stared. I would miss him forever. I hoped, where he was, he missed me too.
"Sakura-Chan, will you always be mine?" Naruto asked as I lay on his chest staring at the stars.
"Forever, Naruto-Kun." I replied, with no hesitation in my voice. "Will you always be mine?"
"Forever, Sakura-Chan." he said as though it were the simplest thing in the world.
The rain began to beat down harder, my hair was soaked. But I didn't care, I just stared. My one and only love was gone. My hand clutched the locket he gave me for our 6-month aniversary. I would never take it off. No one could take his place.
I looked at the red box with a bright pink bow tied around it. As I unwrapped it a beautiful gold locket sat on a satin cushion. I opened it to see a picture of me and Naruto.
"I want you to keep this forever, okay?" Naruto said. I nodded exitedly as he put it on me. It was the best present I had ever gotten. I turned around and kissed him passionately, my tongue diving into his mouth. It was official, I was in love.
I heard someone's footsteps come up behind me, but I didn't look, I just stared, off into the distance. The rain still beat down on my head. They held an umbrella over my head, and put a blanket on my shoulders. They bent down and whispered three words in my ear, "I love you."
I immediately looked up. "Naruto!" I shouted and jumped into his arms. I crushed my lips onto his and kissed him with more force then I ever had before. I pulled back and looked into the beautiful blue eyes that I thought I'd never see again. "I thought Iost you....." I whispered, nearly in tears.
"I'm not going anywhere. I'm here as long as you want me."
"That's forever baby."
He smiled. "I hoped so." And he kissed me again.
