Cat's Notes.
This is a short little something, something I wrote two years ago. Just thought it was cute and that I should post it.
Train had a strange wondering sensation lately. He simply could not get over the fact that his name was Train, yet he had never actually ridden on a train. So, after bugging Sven for several hours, he managed to obtain enough money to purchase a one-way ticket.
After handing over his ticket to the conductor, he took a seat by that window. Excitement rushed through him as the train jolted to life and began its journey down the rails. In no time, the train was flying past cities and the countryside.
The ride was so smooth and serene that Train eventually fell asleep.
He awoke when someone tapped him lightly on the shoulder. Yawning, he stretched and looked up at the man with drowsy eyes.
"Sir, it's time to get off," the man announced.
"Where are we?" Train asked through his drowsiness.
"Capital City," the man replied.
"WHAT?"
Despite Train's protests, he was quickly hustled off the train and forced to sit on a nearby bench. Sighing, he pulled out his cell phone and stared it. Sven was going to kill him. He was miles from the city he originally departed from. Yet he didn't have the money to purchase another ticket, nor did he have a car with him. Slowly, he dialed the number and pressed the phone against his ear.
"Hey Sven!" Train greeted enthusiastically when his partner picked up. "Can you do me a super big favor and pick me up?"
Sven felt dread creep under his skin. "Train, exactly where are you?"
"Um…Capital City."
"WHAT?"
The End.
