Warnings for Story: Slash, attempts to beat the drabble system by reusing sentences, drabbles, painful gag-worthy fluff, kissing as pretty much the only plot.

Matters of Perspective

Kissing Arthur's unlike anything Merlin's ever known.

The exhilarating rush is the same as from the strongest spells he's cast. As they move even closer together, one hand snaking into Arthur's hair (he'll complain about that later), he wants to run and send magic streaking across the skies.

Except that would mean pulling away, which he refuses to do any time soon. The prince kisses like he'd imagined: Intense, forceful, fighting for dominance despite Merlin's temptation to just give in. Can't let it be too easy though, because Arthur does love a challenge.

Merlin hopes he's good enough for him.

Kissing Merlin's unlike anything Arthur's ever known.

Naturally it's not his first time, like any other prince. However, something about kissing this man leaves him breathless every time.

Maybe it's that smile that's so undeniably Merlin that Arthur's drawn in again, or how it becomes one more battle he's determined to win. Or maybe it's his magic.

At first the warlock's surprisingly subdued, until his magic reacts and the world explodes. It's like lightning surging inside them, sparking at every touch. Each sensation reminds him of the incredible power swimming beneath Merlin's skin.

Arthur hopes he's good enough for him.

Author's Notes: My Merlin uploading continues. It is actually slightly shaming looking back at the stuff I was writing last autumn. I mean, yay, I was writing, but the fluffiness brought on by the Merlin/Arthur vibes is kind of painful to look back on. Hopefully the angst returns at some point (why don't I remember?).

According to some nearby notes, this one can be taken as a kind of partner to `Never Simple`, since it's a very similar layout but distinctly less depressing. Any oddness can also apparently be blamed on it being written at 3 in the morning. Anyways, hope you all enjoy it, whilst I battle with an incredibly stubborn fan, as well as wondering if you can say `matters of perspective` or if it has to be in the singular. The usual night-time activities, really.
