Things to know before you read: Connie has gotten re-married to Brown and Shane and Mitchie have thier kid's Anthony whose 2 and Shayla whose a few months old.
Chapter 1
It's the morning of Thanksgiving and Connie is downstairs making pies when Brown comes down from taking a shower and comes up behind her in the kitchen and wraps his arms around her an kisses her cheek.
Connie looks back over her shoulder at him ''Happy Thankagiving.'' she says and kisses him
''back at ya.'' he says
''so what are you doing?'' he asks her
''making pies for dessert a pecan because Mitchie loves pecan and a pumpkin because Shane loves pumpkin and an apple pie because you have to have an apple pie on thanksgiving.'' she tells him
''sounds good so what time are the kids going to be here?'' he asks her
''oh later this afternoon I think.'' she tells him
''okay.'' he says
''so you have a good shower sweetie?'' she asks him
''I did.'' he tells her
''good.'' she says and goes back to making her pies
''so are you excited to see the kids?'' he asks her
''yea I am I haven't talked to or seen them in forever they've been so busy with thier own lives and family. I don't get to talk to Mitchie as much as I'd like to all that much anymore.'' she tells him
''oh have you talked to Shane lately?'' she asks him
''um no but I think he's been working on some new music but I don't think that he's put anything out yet.'' he tells her
''well yea they do have a family now and thier kids come first he probably just hasn't had much time to write.'' she tells him
''true.'' he says
''so do you need any help?'' he asks her
''um no I think I've got everything covered. Now why don't you go into the livingroom and watch football or work on your new music for camp or something and just relax.'' she tells him
''okay I love you.'' he says and kisses her
Connie kisses him back ''I love you too.''she tell shim and smiles and watches him walk away and goes back to cooking.
