The battle had left Magnolia in ruins, but everyone was safe. The guild that had been successful in stopping Acnologia and Natsu had been able to overcome his inner demon, E.N.D., to finally grants his brother Zeref's final wish, death. Everyone was okay and the guild was helping to bring the citizens back to the city to begin rebuilding. It would be a long time time until things were like they were before, but this time there wouldn't be anything holding them back. Fairy Tail had been successful in stopping the evil and Lucy could finally admit her feelings to Natsu.

"Oh… I'm out of ink." a tear fell from my eye onto the paper I had been writing on. "I need more ink and paper!" I yelled for one of the servants. Within a minute someone opened the door and put another bottle of ink on my desk with a stack of paper. They left without saying a word. I opened the bottle of ink and dipped my pen, but when I put it to the paper I couldn't think of anything to write.

I began crying on my desk. My name is Lucy Heartfilia, I am the son of Jude and Layla Heartfilia, but my mother died when I was young. My father is a rich tycoon, but he spends all his time working and I am left to be by myself with nobody to talk to. I write to pass the time, I almost finished my latest novel titled "Fairytail" but I don't know if I can finish it. It follows the life I want to live, but I never will get to. I'll never meet the pink haired boy Natsu, or the crazy stripper Gray, or the confident warrior Erza, none of the friends or family I made. I don't know why, but I felt as if I really knew them, as if they were my family.

I just could not stop crying, the stacks of paper on my desk, over 400 chapters worth of content were being washed away by my tears, but it didn't matter to me because they were never real, it never would have been real, it was all a fantasy. It was over, I didn't even want to finish the story, all I wanted to do was escape the reality I lived in. Why suffer the life in my home where I have no joy, why not run away like the Lucy I wrote about.

That was it, I stood up and dried my eyes and began filling a bag with some clothes and money that I had. I ran out of the house and headed for the hills. It took me an hour to reach the edge of our land but as I prepared to leave my home for the first time I looked back at the only home I've ever known. I needed to know, what adventure lied beyond my home, and… if there was anyone like the people she wrote about in the guild. I was time to make her own story, time to stop dreaming about what was out there and discover for myself.

"There is a big world out there, don't you ever wonder what is out there?" I jumped as the short old man spoke right next to me. "Did you ever wonder what kind of creatures live out there, griffons, dragons, nymphs… fairies?"

"How did you know I had a connection to fairies?"

"I didn't, I was just wondering. Do you think they have tails?"

"I don't know, it's a mystery."

"Well then why don't you go find out, make that your adventure. As long as you don't know keeping going on adventures. It will be an eternal mystery, and a never ending adventure." I began to cry. "Don't cry my child, Just remember the friends you have made thus far, and treat everyday like it is your last."

"Thank you master."

"Goodbye, Lucy." I turned around and ran towards the horizon never turning to look back if the short, old man was still there, because it didn't matter anymore, even if Fairytail was in my imagination I still had the memories and Natsu, Gray, Erza, Wendy, the entire Guild were my family. It was my turn now to begin a new adventure, and I would have to do it by myself.
