Author's note: My bestie Lacey (actresswithoutastage) requested some Klaine fluff and here I give it to you! It's short and sweet. The song in here is No Place That Far by Sara Evans. I really like it and I hope you do too. I suggest you look it up on YouTube.
Feel free to review and let me know what you think. And if you like this, check out my other Glee stuff (Smythofsky and Brittana) or my other fandoms as there are several.
Happy reading!
A Hundred Rivers
A Klaine Fanfiction
By Danielle Cheri
"Kurt?" Blaine called as he walked in the apartment. "Baby, are you home yet?"
As he put his keys on the table by the door, he saw a note. "Living room. Entertainment center." He followed the directions. There was another note taped to the stereo. "Push play and turn around."
After a moment, he did. He recognized the song as one Kurt had played for him once, but had never heard since. And then he heard the angelic voice of his boyfriend behind him.
I can't imagine, any greater fear
Then waking up, without you here,
And though the sun, would still shine on,
My whole world, would all be gone,
But not for long
Blaine turned as the instructions told him and stood rooted to the same spot as the song continued. Kurt's voice matched perfectly to the volume on the stereo. He obviously had practiced this in all his perfectionist glory until it was just right. He moved forward slowly through the next verse. He stood still a foot away from Blaine as he finished out the song.
If I had to run, if I had to crawl
If I had to swim a hundred rivers, just to climb a thousand walls,
Always know that I would find a way, to get to where you are,
There's no place that far
Baby there's no place that far
He reached behind Blaine and turned the machine off and then he kneeled down on one knee and took hold of Blaine's hand. "I know we've discussed it and pretty well came to the conclusion that you would be the one to ask this when you were ready, but I just couldn't stand it anymore." Kurt kissed his boyfriend's knuckles. "Blaine, will you do me the great honor of making an honest man out of me?"
Blaine laughed and hauled Kurt to his feet. "The honor would be mine." They shared a fleeting kiss. "I love you, Kurt."
"I love you, too, Blaine." They shared another, fiercer kiss. "I can't wait to be married to you."
