This is a small short and yes in the movie they're 14 but in this story they're 16 so forgive me if I seem to be rushing things

Hiccup and Astrid were sitting on a hill watching the sunset. It had been almost six months since they started dating and Astrid was starting to wonder if he was ever going to pop the question. She wasn't in much of a rush but most people were engaged after dating for four months.

"This nice isn't it?" Hiccup asked.

"Yeah." replied Astrid.

"No war, no fighting, just peace and quiet."

"We pretty much have you to thank for that."

Hiccup couldn't help but let out a small chuckle at this "You know growing up I never dreamed that vikings and dragons would ever get along or me ever becoming popular."

"All because you were the first Viking who wouldn't kill a dragon, you big softy."

"Yeah."

Hiccup let out a false yawn, stretched out his arms and put around Astrids shoulder. She couldn't help but smile at how corny it was but just went along with it and put her head on his shoulder. Moments passed and they didn't say anything to each other they just enjoyed the peaceful sunset.

"Hiccup, can I ask you somthing?" said Astrid breaking the silence

"Sure."

"Are you ever going to propose?"

Hiccups expression changed to one of slight shock. He then reached over for the pack that he brought along with him and pulled out a war horn.

"What's that for?" Astrid asked.

"Just trust me ok."

Hiccup blew into the war horn with all he air he had in his lungs and it made a loud low tune.

With Stoick and Gobber

"What was that" asked Gobber.

"A war horn quick ready the forge we'll need to be prepared for-" Stoick was cut off as a shadow flew overhead. Both he and Gobber look up and what they saw made them smile. "Hiccup" they said in unison and started laughing in relief.

Back with Hiccup and Astrid

"Ok now what?" Astrid asked.

Hiccup then pointed forward to the sky and what she saw amazed her. In the sky a small number of dragons flew through the sky making a message

Astrid will you marry me

"You trained the dragons to do that?" she asked.

Hiccup became as red as a Nightmare "Well not all of them just those, plus It's not as easy as you'd think, not to mention that I had to make a lot of deals with their owners and-" Hiccup was cut off by Astrid tackling him to the ground and locking her lips with his. Not like the one she gave him after he woke up after the battle with Red Death. this one was more passionate.

"Does that answer your question hero?" Astrid asked smiling.

Hiccup smiled and got ready for another kiss from his fiancee' when Snotlout, Ruffnut, Tuffnut, and Fishlegs ran up to them each with a weapon in their hands.

"Dude we heard the call." said Tuffnut.

"What's the situation" asked Ruffnut.

"Why is Astrid on top of you" asked Snotlout.

"And why are the dragons proposing to her" Asked Fishlegs.

Hiccup and Astrid turned to each other and started laughing.
