I think I actually wrote something totally FLUFFY this timeā¦I'm proud of myself XD
Many thanks to Ivyshort and Ice around the moon for betaing-I appreciate it!
Anyways, for those reading "Rules of Headquarters", I've had somewhat of a writer's block, so I'll try to conquer that ASAP. Sorry :/
Disclaimer: I don't own FMA, too bad.
"Riza! What is this about?"
Riza Hawkeye stood firmly, a tiny black and white pup cradled in her arms. She had brought him to work today and figured there was no harm in doing so. Apparently she was wrong.
She gave a stern look. "Sir, I couldn't just leave Hayate at home by himself; he would make a mess." She reasoned, quickly striding over to her desk and taking a seat.
Roy was not biting. Yes, he loved dogs, but bringing them to work was against protocol. "Lieutenant, you know dogs aren't allowed at Central Command."
"I know, sir, just for a while until he is housebroken, please?"
"Fine, you can bring him," He conceded, "But only for a month or so."
A small smile lit up the Lieutenant's face before she put down the small pup and patted his head. "See, the big bad Colonel does have a heart, huh Hayate?" she cooed, her voice now a pitch higher than before. Roy's eyes narrowed.
"Wait a second, big bad Colonel? I'm not that bad am I?"
The blonde chuckled as she unclipped Hayate's leash and watched him prance over to her superior, who picked him up and sat him on his lap. The pup curled into a ball and gave a yawn. The man couldn't help but smile.
"No, you're not that bad I guess." She had never thought he was bad. As she continued working on paperwork, she would glance over at the Colonel, but her eyes traveled to the tiny ball of fur resting on his lap. It was images like these she wished would last forever.
"So Lieutenant," Roy said, his voice breaking the silence surrounding them, "Would you care to go to dinner this evening?" Riza smirked.
"On one condition."
"What's that?"
She stood and walked over to his desk, then knelt down to pet the small furball. "Hayate gets to come."
He pouted. "You can't be-" Upon feeling the creature stir, Roy lowered his voice and continued, "You can't be serious. Why does your dog have to come along?"
"I don't see why he shouldn't, he is my pet, you know." She really wondered about the Colonel sometimes. Like why he was so opposed to allowing her new family member-yes, dogs are family-to accompany them on the small dinner-dare she say date-they had agreed to. Roy caved.
"Alright, fine. But please keep him under control."
"You have my word, Sir."
As she made her way back to her seat, she really meant what she said earlier.
He wasn't so bad after all.
Aww, wasn't that sweet? I hope you thought it was lol
Anyways, Thanks for reading and reviews always make my day!
Much love-~*SF15*~
