A/n: um... hello there! well, you see, i love writing AND i love Full Metal Alchemist so i thought, "Hey, why not write a fan fiction of my own?" And so here we are.

It's pretty drabble-ish I warn you, but i may continue with it once i get some of the opinions out there!

Thank you so much, and enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not own Edward or Alphonse Elric, nor to I own anything to do with Full Metal Alchemist, if i did Edward and Winry would have ended up together!!! oh well let's get this started shall we??

Stroking gently at the paper, Edward brushed the shavings away making sure his 'masterpiece' hadn't been smudged.

"Finished!" He announced, a satisfied smile creasing his mouth as he held the picture up to the light.

It was of a young girl with blond hair; it was pinned tightly to her head with a bobby pin, her face was framed by two long bangs reaching down her shoulders and to her back, her eyes were a sparkling blue that reflected the light in dazzling colors. Her skin glowed from a setting sun which was slowly sinking behind a chain of mountains. Two small figures about the size of ants were peeking around the corner of the mountains.

She was leaning on the frame of a balcony looking out at the horizon, a lamp was held underneath her hand.

(A/n: if you have questions about this part leave me a review thing and i will try to answer as soon as possible!!)

"There," Edward sighed taking the picture and putting it in the pages of a book along with the rest of the pictures he had drawn. They were all of his friends, family… mechanics. "That's all of them."

"BROTHER HURRY UP! DINNER'S READY!" He heard Alphonse call making him jump from the unexpected noise. The book flew into the air and landed on the floor with a dull thud, the pictures between its pages scattering everywhere.

"Coming Al!" He called back kneeling down and frantically sweeping the pictures into a messy pile.

"Brother," The breath caught in Ed's throat as his brother's voice echoed through the small room. He whipped around; Al was kneeling in the doorway, his face smudged with flour from that nights labor for their meal, he held one of Ed's pictures in his hand. "You miss them don't you?" He commented quietly extending the picture towards Ed, his hazel eyes never leaving the floor as if he were ashamed by seeing Ed's weakness.

"I do," He nodded, "But that's not why I drew these." Al looked at him inquiringly and Ed continued to explain, "We're stuck here in this world so far away from them. I never want to forget what they looked like."

Al nodded and handed Ed the last of the pictures; they were sketches of Winry and Pinako.

Ed brightened a bit and carefully placed the pictures into the book, placing it under his arm as he stood up, "What did you make for us tonight Al?" He asked, the memories the pictures had brought back sliding innocently into the back of his mind.

Al straightened his legs and shoved something in his pocket, "Chicken," He said absentmindedly as he began to walk down the stairs.

Following his brother Ed smiled to himself he had decided right after he started drawing those pictures that he would try and find a way to go home. He would go back, to see the golden haired mechanic one more time, and the pictures he had drawn would finally become reality.

Oh god what a cheesy ending... Shall I continue? you decide!
