NEW YEAR'S SPECIAL PART II

A/N: I plan on making two New Years Special :D one for 86x60 and another for 1x362 that's why I wont get to update on my other story (Valentines Day Dance) for today or tomorrow (maybe) :c
BTW. You might want to read NEW YEAR'S SPECIAL PART I first so you'd know what's happening.
"Maybe, 86, you should tell 60 what's bugging you while I get the party started" Rachel said as she smiled and left the two officers who were now alone in a part of the moonbase. Rachel headed off to the stage where the party was being held.
"Welcome KND operatives!" Rachel shouted as the crowd started to quiet down. Rachel would have to be the one to make them quiet since both 86 and 60 (the ones who usually do that) are in a 'meeting'.
"Welcome everyone to the KND New Year's eve party!" Rachel said as the crowd started cheering
"I would like to thank all of you for coming here and I would just like to remind everyone that the fireworks show will be in a few minutes along with the countdown! So get ready and enjoy!" Rachel said as the crowd cheered
"Nice Speech Rachel" Rachel looked behind her to see a smirking Nigel
"Hello to you too Nigel" Rachel said laughing
"How have you been?" Nigel asked as they started to walk the moonbase bridge
[A/N: for those who've read my other sotry VDD and remember a scene just like this then yeah, I sort of have this thing for 1x362 to be on bridges and stuff ]
"Fine…" Rachel said but Nigel detected the stress given to her by 86 a while back
"Are you sure? If I didn't know any better then I'd say you're depressed of something"
"Actually I am. But you can't tell the others. It might mess them up too." Rachel said as Nigel looked at her quizzically but then nodded his head
"It's just that Fanny brought up the topic and I couldn't help but let it wander my mind…"
"What topic exactly?"
"Decommissioning."
"Oh…"
"Yeah, and Fanny was about to break down when Patton came so I left them alone. But then the thought's still in my mind"
"I don't think decommissioning is something to be afraid of Rachel."
"I know, but I can't help it. I don't want to loose a part of me…"
"And you won't… As Soopreme Leader you've probably heard of the TND right?"
"Yeah, but how do you know about them?"
"Long story, but like I said, you're the soopreme leader, they'll definitely have you in the TND, so they wont decommission you."
"It's not that easy Nigel. They rarely get operatives. Only the best of the best of the best…" Rachel said sighing
"That's why I know you'll get in with ease." Nigel said as he cupped her cheek and raised her head so that their eyes were locked
"Rachel, you're the awesomest, most successful, most soopremest leader of them all! The TND would be a fool to not let you in." Nigel said as their faces were mere inches from each other
"Y-you think so?" Rachel asked as she felt like she was in a day dream
"I know so… I really like you Rachel Anne T. McKenzie."
"I really like you too Nigel Montgomery Uno."
And with that their lips touched as the fireworks display started and the KND operatives started to cheer, some because of it being New Year, some because of the beautiful fireworks, and for a certain few, seeing their sector leader finally make a move.
