I was watching Drake & Josh and wondering what made Crazy Steve so crazy. This is what came out of my thoughts.
I don't own Drake & Josh
Origin of Insanity
He huddled in the closet, tears streaming down his cheeks. The screams echoed through the house. His arms were wrapped tightly around his little body. The child was singing a song quietly to himself. The yelling continued, and then a muffled bang. A thump of a body falling down. He clutched his arms around himself, trying to be as quiet as he could. Minutes later, a door slammed, then another. The screech of tires down the road. He crept quietly out of the closet, looking around warily. Tip-toeing down the stairs, he saw the splatters of blood on the walls, the floor. Once loved items broken carelessly in the hatred. He ran out the door, going nowhere. He fled, running into a large man with a blue suit. "Please, you have to help me," he cried. "Well, it's Monday, my day off, but okay." agreed the man.
"There's something wrong with Crazy Steve!" yelled Mindy.
"Why did you let him work on Mondays?! Everyone knows that you don't let him work on Monday!" cried Helen.
"I didn't know! Why can't he work on Mondays?" Mindy was trying to talk over Crazy Steve's rampant yelling in the back.
"No one knows! Now we need to get him calmed down!"
"I don't know how!"
"I do," said Josh, "Helen, go get some milk." Helen nodded and ran off to get the milk.
"Momma, why do you and Poppa fight so much?" he asked his mother one night. "We're not fighting, honey, we're just talking, it's fine." The mother reassured her child. Somewhere downstairs, a door slammed and drunken yells could be heard. "I'll be right down, dear!" called the boy's mother to the person downstairs. The child started to cry. "Shh, it's okay, sweetie. She'll be coming 'round the mountain when she comes, she'll be coming 'round the mountain when she comes…"
Josh, Helen and Mindy sang the song slowly to Crazy Steve as Helen handed him the milk. Slowly, he calmed down.
"You go on and drink that whole carton, okay?" Josh told him. Crazy Steve nodded his head and retreated to the back with his milk.
"Why does that calm him down?" questioned Mindy. "No one knows," answered Josh. In the back they could hear more screaming. Helen came running out.
"We ran out of milk."
That's just what I thought might have happened to Crazy Steve to make him that way. I don't know the correct dialogue of that particular episode or scene, but it's as close as I could get. If I'm too wrong, I'd appreciate if someone would tell me. Review, please!
