*Roxas and Namine are sitting on the clock tower, eating ice cream. Hayner, Pence and Olette aren't sitting far away. They can't see or hear the nobodies. There is muted dialogue in the background.
R-have you ever thought about what you want to be when you grow up?
N-grow up? But roxas, that's impossible.
R-why? Why should it be?
N-I don't know. Maybe it's just another condition when someone is a nobody, I guess. I think kairi wants to be a schoolteacher. Is that what you meant?
R- (hesitantly) no, not exactly. I didn't mean Kairi. I meant you, Namine. What do you want to be? An artist?
N- (looking away from Roxas) that's not important, not where I'm at.
R- (standing) not important? Namine, you have to be your own person! We can be who we want to be!
N-my own person? That's impossible. I can't do it.
R-but Namine, you're really good!
N- (staring at Roxas) and what about you? Do you have anything you'd like to be?
R- (shocked)
N- (standing up, looking at sunset, then to Hayner, Pence and Olette, who are laughing.) I'd love to be here, with you. Sure if I could draw once in a while, it'd be nice… but I don't think life works that way. We take what we are given, and use it to the best of our abilities. (Looking at Roxas) while I'd like to be a number of things, I love where I'm at.
R-Namine…
N-although, I suppose it does pose an interesting question.
R- (sits back down) I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me.
N- (sits) I think I do.
R-really?
N-yes. You're anxious about something.
R- (looking at Namine, running a hand through his hair.) I must be. I guess I just want to find something a little more out of life, you know?
N-Sure. What's uncommon about that? Doesn't everyone want a plan for their life?
R- (laughs quietly) what funny word usage.
(Namine looks at Roxas with a small smile.)
R-although I sure miss those days. Everything was simpler then.
N-when you were one of them? (Points to Hayner, Pence and Olette)
R-things were easier then.
N-sorry for popping your bubble. I would have given anything to let you continue living in your world. I slowed down on sora's memory restoration for a while. However, Diz found out and told me I had to start working faster.
R-he didn't hurt you, did he?
N-no, he wanted to get the memories finished as soon as possible. Besides, Riku was there. (Namine plays with hands.)
R-that's right. (Stays silent for a few minutes) Hey Namine?
N-Yeah?
(With one last look at Hayner, Pence and Olette, Roxas stands and Namine joins him.)
R-thanks.
The lights dim on those two, who have faded into darkness. Hayner, Pence and Olette exit stage left as the moon, beginning to rise, shines over twilight town. The stage is empty for a few seconds before curtain is called.
