Rain poured down on the short, brown curls of Jenna's head. Her sister, Jadyn, clutched onto Jenna's on arm.

"Sissy! I'm so scared! I miss mommy," she bellowed.

"Be quiet!" Jenna hissed at her twin "if they find us we're toast!"

"But Sissy, I'm so tired! And wet! I want to go home!" Jadyn moaned.

"Jadyn if you say one more word I swear I'll take off my shoe and beat you with it!" Jenna said between gritted teeth. Jadyn let a slight whimper escape her lips. They continued to walk in the pouring rain occasionally jumping into the bushes when a car would pass by them. Suddenly lightning flashed in the sky in jagged forks followed by an ear shattering clap of thunder making the two neko girls jump.

"JENNA! I WANT TO GO HOME!" Jadyn screamed. Jenna grabbed her sister's hand as they ran across the busy street. They stopped at a tall townhouse. The lights were turned off and the doors were locked. The girls ran around back and tried the back door. Sure enough it was locked. Jenna retracted her claws and began to pick the lock until Jadyn cried out in protest.

"Jenna! It's wrong to break into people's homes!" Jadyn cried.

"Do you want to sleep in the rain," Jenna asked.

"Please continue," Jadyn answered back. They slowly opened the door. Crreeeeaakk. They tip-toed down the hallway the only sounds were their breathing and the heavy snoring of the owners. Jenna opened a door and found an empty room of boxes and other useless knickknacks. Jenna and Jadyn hid behind a few tall refrigerator boxes. They crawled close together.

"Good night Sis," Jenna said

"Good night sis," Jadyn said. Jenna floated into a gentle sleep but Jadyn still remained awake. Visions of what just happened raced through her mind. Her mother's scream rang through her ears. The scarlet blood of her father was the only thing she could see. She thought what if she could save her parents. If she hadn't froze up could she have saved them.
