"We're sorry that we believed those rumours Neville- and started them." The engines said earnestly.
"That's alright. I can understand why you made that mistake. But those diesels are perfectly horrifying! Why must they be so hurtful?" Asked Neville.
"Those two are Arry and Bert," Thomas explained. "Though we know them as the Grim Messengers of Doom."
Neville was wide eyed, and he began to shake.
"Why so?"
"They love scrapping engines. I don't know what they enjoy in seeing others suffer but they cheer it on when it happens." Edward explained grimly.
"Indeed." Gordon agreed. "But seeing as they're not allowed to scrap any of us, they choose to pick on us instead."
"Those... those monsters!" Said Neville, forgetting his fears in a heat of passion.
"I know but since when is this world going be rid of evil?" Sighed Edward. "I hope this horror ends, but all I know is that we need to face it with great courage. And only then shall we be triumphant."
Author's notes; I would like to say to the people of Paris and all of France that what had happened recently should never have happened. But as it has, I extend my sympathies.
May Britain once more join alliances with you in an effort to find those responsible for the tragedy, and to mourn for all people lost.
