Prologue

The blood flowed from Nami's arm as she continusoly raised the knife and jabbed herself.

"Arlong!" She kept screeching at the top of lungs.

Her eyes filled with tears, and she began to sob, her shoulders shaking rapidly.

Her people, Kokoyashi village, the thought kept ringing in her head.

She raised the knife to stab her arm once again, but a firm hand held her by the wrist.

Nami looked up and saw him. His eyes filled with anger and determination.

She dropped the knife, and sobbed.

"Luffy…tasukete" She pleaded in a raspy voice.

She felt pressure on her head, and looked up; he had placed the straw hat on her head.

His most prized possession.

"I'll be back," he said as he cracked his knuckles, a look of rage filling his eyes.

The wind blew and Nami stared at him as he walked off…
