I wrote this thinking of a situation between Naruto and the villagers and then as Hokage or against Akatsuki.

The monsters aren't in my closet
or hiding beneath my bed
thier alive in the villagers with their cold eyes and words
They're alive in beatings I recieve almost daily
even though they are monsters to me they are angels to my precious people
that is why I try...
I try to become strong so there is no longer pain in the eyes that acknowledge me
I protect the monsters, the outcasts, the demons, the weak even the angel and now...
they protect me.
