note: Takes place sometime after chapter 51 when there all living in the same house. Some swearing.
They had just gotten back from a bloody battle. Nobody said anything to anybody. They just went through the motions until everyone went to sleep for the night, except Mikasa and Eren. They wouldn't look at each other at the dinner table, Eren was the first to brake the silence "Mikasa." he said with a very harsh tone "can we talk outside." Mikasa didn't say or do anything, just got up and followed the boy outside, a bit away from the house so nobody could hear them. Eren couldn't hold it any longer "Mikasa what the fuck do you think you where trying to do back there!"
"What are you talking about Eren?"
"On the battlefield Mikasa! Don't think that I didn't see it!"
"Eren WHAT are you talking about?!" her tone rising to meet his.
"Before I was about to change, there was a titan coming in my direction. One that I could have clearly taken! And you came out of nowhere to kill it completely failing to see the other 5 titans behind it!" All his built up anger was now surfacing "Mikasa I saw how you where caught off guard and one of them took there hand and slammed you down. what where you going to do if Armin hadn't been there to catch you? I'll tell you right now you wouldn't be here!"
"Eren you REALLY want to yell at ME for being to careless?! Excuse me if I'm wrong but who was it again who almost lost control in their titan form? You Eren!"
"Mikasa are you even listening to me!? I cant get hurt Mikasa so stop fucking worrying about me! I'm not your little brother!"
"I know Eren! But you dont understand what its like to see you as a big fuckin titan about to lose control now do you!"
There eyes where full of anger and frustration, Mikasa finally relaxed her stare and sighed. She couldn't stand fighting with him like this; all she wanted was for him to understand. Mikasa looked down and said with a small voice "Eren you don't understand what its like to see you like that. You don't know the feeling of losing you and being powerless to stop it." Erens eyes softened water filling his eyes "Mikasa" he breathed shocked she had just let her guard down like that. she cut him off tears falling down from her silvery gray eyes "I know I shouldn't have been reckless like I was but I just have to make sure your safe, I want to protect you Ere-" before she could finish he pulled her into a tight embrace. "Mikasa please just please be more careful, please." she snuggled her face in his shoulder and let the tears flow. Eren choked back tears "Mikasa remember the promise I made to you? We'll always be together?" "hmmm" she hummed into his shoulder. "I doesn't matter how far away I may seem in my titan form, or how hopeless it may seem I'll always come back to you. I'll always come back to wrap this scarf around you, as many times as it takes." she smiled into his shoulder and let out a sigh.
