Reyna.

Alone. Yes that is what she was and she is. Alone as always. Living the most tragedic life ever. Alone with no one to care for. Alone with no one to love for. Not even Jason.

Her Jason. Stolen away from her. So close yet so far. He had kissed Piper when they landed in Camp Jupiter which was supposed to be her home. Now even her home was against her. She could never be together ever.

All because of some stupid reason to bring peace between the two camps. And to defeat a stupid earth goddess.

Couldn't she have been defeated without the two camps fighting together?

Couldn't she have been defeated without Jason being stolen away from her?

Of course. But who would say no to the Queen of heavens?

Juno's idea.

Perhaps the gods were right. Maybe Juno was wrong indeed. But just her luck that her stupid plan worked.

All this had been Juno's fault. Her tragic life had been Juno's fault. Her sadness had been Juno's fault. Her sitting alone in her dark and dim room, crying her eyes out while the rest of New Rome and Camp Jupiter celebrated outside had been Juno's fault.

'I hate you Juno. And I will always do.' she murmured.

'And you have all the rights to do so.' came a woman's voice from behind her.

She jumped in alarm and grabbed her knife only to see a woman in a black shawl and goatskin cloak standing behind her with a pained expression.

'Your Highness, Juno.' she bowed.

'What is the meaning of this respect when you just said that you will always hate me eternally?' the goddess asked.

'Forgive me, my lady' she said quitely.

'Why are you sorry, child? Why are you sorry to express your feelings?' Juno asked.

'You stole him. You destroyed my life.' she said losing all her respect towards this lady.

'Many demigods hate me for destroying their life at some point. Hercules such as one. If you want some recent ones, Thalia Grace, Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase... most of the crew of Argo II.Now I shall add you too.' Juno said with a little smile playing on her lips.

'But why did you?' she demanded somewhat angrily.

'As they say ''To get something, one must lose something''. In order to get peace and save many lives, Jason had to be taken away from you.

'Reyna Avila Ramirez Arellano, the daughter of Bellona, goddess of war, former praetor of Rome. They told me you were plenty brave. But now I see that everyone has a soft and weak side. Even children of the war gods. But you must not lose your sanity and be driven mad by love, as Venus tends to do it to many. Gods and demigods alike.'

'Venus?' she asked.

'Yes Venus, child. She likes to fiddle with people's lives. But I must say that this is not her fault. A mere coincidence that her daughter got Jason instead of you. But as I recall, she did warn you that it will not be easy for you. Didn't she?' Juno asked.

'Yes in my quest.' she recalled.

'Well anyway, this time the Fates were with it. Jason was not written in your destiny. He was written in Piper's destiny. Accept it. You will die alone knowing your destiny.' Juno said and disappeared.

She just stared in the spot she just vanished.

Many years later when she was lying in her bed, her last will at her side, a photograph of Jason above it.

She stared at the ceiling, imaging a face of a blond and blue eyed boy there.

'I love you, Jason.' she said and breathed her last.
