Arianna quietly tiptoed to the doorway, her long blond hair spilling down her back, and she could just make out two figures in the small dingy kitchen as the light of dawn peeked through the windows.

"You can't do this Albus," she heard Aberforth arguing, "you couldn't possibly drag an 11-year-old with you to...wherever you and Grindelwald plan on going."

"Nonsense. I am the man of the family and I am going to take Arianna with me." Albus replied rather impatiently. It seemed they had been discussing the topic for a while now.

"But Albus, why not leave her with me? We could stay here with the goats while you go-"

"Aberforth!" Albus exclaimed, face turning red. Arianna had never see her brother this furious, and she backed away a few steps for the door as she heard her oldest brother berating Aberforth. "I will NOT leave her here. I am responsible for her safety-"

"Safety? All you care about is becoming the next Minister of Magic. You and Grindelwald planning together, as though I couldn't hear you. Scheming about how to find the Elder Wand, as though it exists. You'll probably leave her behind in an abandoned building and go off building your future."

Albus seemed momentarily shocked to hear Aberforth accusing him of mistreating his sister. But he was struck dumb for another reason entirely.

"Elder Wand? How did you hear us talking about it? And how could you possibly take care of Arianna. You can barely cast a shield charm, not to mention going to Hogwarts. No, she will be better off with me there to keep her from-"

"From what? Blowing up the house? You couldn't stop her if you tried. You'd probably be glad if we died here, wouldn't you? Then you could go off and be a genius without the burden of siblings to keep you from taking over the world!"

"That is ridiculous. You know that I have no intention of taking over the world."

"Oh but you do! And what about when Arianna gets her letter from Hogwarts? Then what are you gonna do? If she doesn't show up, someone will come and take her to St. Mungo's! I mean, you might be okay with having your sister in quarantine for the rest of her life, but I won't stand for it, she can't-"

"Aberforth, she is coming with me. End of discussion." Albus stating calmly, though Arianna could hear the fury in his words. She jumped out of sight as Aberforth came hurling through the doorway and stormed down the hall, muttering threats under his breath.
