Kira rolled her eyes and yawned. She was exhausted and ready to get off the phone. She'd spent twenty four hours straight in the studio. Or maybe it just felt like that. But as if the universe sensed she was ready to go to bed…Xander called.
And proceeded to ramble about exactly why Kira should come to the RockPorium first after she finished recording. He knew it wasn't going to happen. She'd promised her first promotion gig to Hayley, but he decided he would waste both their time trying any way.
"Listen, Xan, I promise I will head straight for the RockPorium as soon as I finish at Hayley's, but that's the best I can do." She told him with a sigh.
Suddenly she was tapped on the shoulder. She grunted in frustration and snapped around to face the intruder, "What?"
"What's the point of me being here if you're going to spend the entire night on the phone?"
"Will you shut up. No, Xan, not you. Wait, on second thought…yes you. I need to go. I'm tired. Finish this later? Xander it's already been decided. Reefside then Briarwood. I'll talk to you later." She said as she frustratedly hung up.
"So, who's Xander again?"
She chuckled, "A very annoying and yet somehow endearing guy."
"Sounds like me."
"The annoying part, yes."
"He was one of the dudes who helped out the Overload rangers?"
"Overdrive, Conner, Overdrive."
"Yeah, okay, so…uh…do you and he…talk a lot?" Conner asked as he leaned against the kitchen counter in Kira's apartment.
"Every now and then I guess. Just as much as I talk to Tori, why?"
"Just curious." He said with a shrug.
"Curious about what?"
"Nothing, I was just wondering."
"Why?"
"Because."
"Because why?"
"Just…you know…because." He said awkwardly as he cleared his throat.
"Okay. Anyway…what do you want to do?" She said wanting to change the subject as quickly as possible.
"Movie?" He asked.
"As long as you won't get offended when I fall asleep in the middle of it."
"Ethan does that, not me."
"Well, it was one of you. I mean it was Star Trek for crying out loud. Not my kind of movie."
Conner chuckled and grinned smugly at her, "You were snoring."
"I was not. I do NOT snore."
"Yeah, you do. It's a cute snore too." He teased.
She glared at him, "I don't like you."
"Yes you do."
She sighed and chuckled lightly, "God help me, but I do. Worse still, I have no idea why."
"It's because I'm so attractive." Conner said as he puffed up his chest.
"You and Xander really are alike." She said as she shook her head.
"But you like me more, right?" He asked with a cheeky grin.
Kira simply smirked and walked away.
"Kira? You like me more right?" He asked again as she headed for the couch, "Right?"
Don't know why I wrote this…
Theres no point to it, lol. I just sat down and started typing and this is what happened.
But I kind of like it.
I'm having a tough time thinking of a title…so if it's lame please forgive me.
