"They call me Crybaby, Crybaby
But I don't fu-"
I wake up to my alarm blaring Crybaby, my favourite song ever. I pick up my iPhone 5s and shut off my alarm. I'm the only one in school who doesn't have an iPhone 6.
Let me introduce myself; I'm Katherine Savannah Jones. I am a sixteen - year old bookworm. I love The Hunger Games and Divergent. I know everything there is to know about the trilogies.
I get out of my small, twin bed, then throw on a grey crop top and a pair of checkered overalls. You will never see me not wearing a pair of overalls.
I put my long, brown hair into a messy bun, grab my phone, and walk downstairs.
"Good morning, sweetheart!" My mom exclaims. She sits at the table eating an omelet and drinking orange juice. The same meal sits across from her. My dad left when I was eight. Thankfully, my mom has { mostly } gotten over it.
"Good morning," I mumble. I'm not much of a morning person. I sit down and eat my breakfast quickly. I leave my dishes in the sink, sling my mint green backpack over my shoulder, grab my binder and phone, and walk outside. My mom follows soon after.
We get into our silver 2009 Hyundai Genesis. It's a decent car, considering my mom is the only one in the house that works.
My mom starts the engine, and we drive to Brookside High.
I hop out of the car, double checking I have my phone.
"Have a nice day sweetheart!"
"Thanks mom. Love you."
"Love you too sweetheart."
I walk through the red double - doors of Brookside High and find my locker.
Finally, I spot it; locker 0164, combination 5916.
I open my locker and throw everything in { except my phone, of course } and grab my Advanced Algebra book. I guess I consider myself smart, I have all honours classes.
As I turn around, he's right there against the lockers making out with his girlfriend.
My crush. Troye Theodore Stephens.
