Authors Note: Ginny and Hermione were together as a couple. None of Harry Potter belongs to me sadly. Review if you want me to write a continuation.

Goodbye, Ginny Weasley!

She has played this charade far too long! Pretending to be the loving and caring best friend, she can't do it anymore. She wonders did Ginny ever love her, or even think about her? Or was she just an outlet, someone to use for pleasure, when Ginny was feeling lonely. If she was she is too far in to notice. She needs Ginny. She still does. Harry proposed to Ginny today. She tried to be happy for them, but she couldn't. She wanted so badly to be in Harry's place. She wanted to be the one going down on one knee in front of everybody, asking her girlfriend to marry her. She couldn't because Ginny was afraid, afraid of her family's reaction, afraid of losing those she loved. She remembered telling Ginny that even if her parents disowned her she would her. She remembered Ginny screaming "You don't know what it's like to lose those you love." But, she did. She had lost her parents in the war. She had wanted to scream back. To tell Ginny she loved her, that she would never leave her, but she couldn't. She was a coward. She hadn't wanted to lose the fragile relationship she had with Ginny. So when Ginny had left she just sank down and cried. Cried for herself, her parents, Ginny, Harry. Everyone that made up the complicated web that she was tangled up in. A web of lies, love, and betrayal.

She is running now, tears streaming down her face. Up, up, up the stairs to the astronomy tower. She is heartbroken. She, Hermione Granger, the brightest witch of her age, who even Bellatrix Lestrange couldn't break is broken. All because of a witch named Ginevra Weasley. Even thinking about Ginny makes her cry. All she wanted was for Ginny to love her. She is standing on a ledge now, overlooking the grounds. She whispers her last words "Goodbye Ginny Weasley!" and she jumps, into the blackness below.

The next morning her body is found with a note: I just wanted you to love me. There are tears, Mrs. Weasley cries into her husband's shoulder. Harry wonders what made her do it. Ron pounds his fist into the wall, over and over again, until its bloody. Even Crookshanks is mewling in sorrow.

Ginny is inconsolable, she is the only one who knows why. She feels guilty. She should have told her parents, but she was too scared to lose them. So scared that she sacrificed Hermione. All she wants to do is hold Hermione again tell her she loves her. But, she can't it's too late. Too late to announce their love to everyone, too late to start a family, too late for them. After everyone leaves she stays behind. Staring at the grave of the women she loved, the women she will always love. Picking a twig she transfigures it into a rose and placing it on the headstone, she whispers "Goodbye Hermione Granger!" before turning and apparating away.
