Chapter I
On October 2nd, Ran was celebrating her birthday. One of her friends had bought her a cutr puppy. Ran felt sad Conan wasn't there. She hadn't seen him since Prof. Agasa picked him up 2 weeks ago claiming he won 2 tickets for disneyland in a lottery nd wanted to take his relative with him. How much she wished she had saved enough money so she could go with them. She shook off those thoughts. "Come on, All yuor friends and parents are here, what else could you wish for" she told herself "And besides, Conan will be back in 2 days, try to have a blast out of your time like he is"
She opened her last present, It said it was from Shinichi, and inside was a stuffed animal dog that she'd been wanting for months. She called it Mr. Neko, because she thought Puppy was too common of a name for a dog.
She and Neko-san became best friends, and Ran couldn't be separated from him/her/it. She would spend hours in her bedroom playing with Neko-san, and she abandoned all of her other toys. One night, she couldn't find Mr. Neko , and nobody else could either. In the morning, she woke up and Mr. Neko was sitting right next to her in her bed.
After Ran's dog had gotten hit by a car and killed, Mr. Neko began acting more and more alive. It would always be in a different spot in the morning. One day, Ran was walking home from school and was abducted by the black Organization. The next morning, Mr. Neko was missing, too.
On October 11th, Ran's body was found in the forest, with Mr. Neko by her side.
