Responsibility
It's the one thing I have
In a world that has completely abandoned it
My father is an idiot
My older brother is a bully
And my mother
For all intents and purposes, a whore
I have two bullies, in fact
Not just my brother
But him
They both torment me daily
Leave me in pain
Both on my body
And in my very heart
Well, they can try to, anyway
Because I know they're weak
They're afraid
Of what I have
Of what I can do
But I won't
Because it's been said before
I'll say it again
"With great power comes great responsibility"
You know what?
The reverse is just as true
With great responsibility comes even greater power
Look at what my responsibility has won me
It's won me friendship
It's won me love
It's even won me an apprenticeship
What do they have?
Brute strength
All that brawn is worthless
If you don't have the brains
I'm just so lucky to have both
The might
And the mind
I could crush them if I wanted to
But it wouldn't be right
Not for me
And not for him
Underneath all that steel
There shines a soul
He wants to learn
He wants to grow
And I could not be any more thankful
Than to be his guide
On the road to greatness
