Title: When You Love Too Much
Author: Rokwynd

Notes: A quick drabble on Brittany and religion that came about because of a joke that I and my beta DropEdge couldn't believe they didn't use in episode.
Spoilers for 2x03
Brittany was sad that Kurt's dad was in the hospital. Mr. Hummel had always been really nice to her. Like when she kissed Kurt when he decided he wasn't going to be gay anymore, before he wanted be Capital G Gay anyway. Then there had been that time after the Cheerios won Nationals and she made Kurt's car all pretty with shaving cream and that can string stuff. He had just smiled really big, and when he told her how much a new paint job would cost she knew she had helped by saving him all that money.
Now he was sick-like sicker than the time she had put too much sand into her Master Cleanse. Everyone in Glee Club had gotten really upset, and this time it wasn't at Rachel. For some reason, when Kurt said he didn't believe in God everybody freaked out. Santana had promised to explain it to her later, but they ended up making out instead.
The praying thing was always really easy for Brittany, and she didn't understand why everyone else got so upset about it. When she turned eight her grandma told her that because they were Dutch they were Quakers. She had explained that because of that, if she wanted to be good she should be really friendly to everybody. So she was really friendly with everybody at school; the football team even called her the team bike, which must mean they really liked her. When she told Santana about that Santana was kind of jealous. Her face got really red and she said something about going to talk to Puck.
Sometimes she wasn't so good at it, like when she said mean stuff to Rachel. Santana always was happy with her after that, but it made her feel bad. To get rid of that feeling she would go home and pray to the old lady on the oatmeal box. She didn't tell anyone about that after the one time she told her mom about it and they took that drive to Cleveland. Playing all those games with the colored blocks and the shapes had been fun, but the questions the guy in the coat asked her kind of sucked.
But she had her book report-the one her Mom kept in her Reasons for Brittany to Have A Future Powerful Attorney box-and the card she had worked on all day. She and Santana would give them to Kurt tomorrow, and maybe he would be a little happier.
