William had been floored.
He had seen the floods of people that had come to greet him. They were all so happy to see him. He adjusted his glasses and, stood there and, watched as the crowd of people were all gushing and, happy to see him. "Hey Ronald, you're back!" one of the ladies from general affairs said. "Yeah! We really missed ya, bud!" one of the engineers said happily.
William just stood there. He didn't know what to say or, do. He licked his lips nervously and, stood stalk still. Grell ran by him with some flowers and, a grin. "Oh my goodness! Ronnie!" The redhead said running to him and, giving him a giant bear hug. "I missed you, dear~!" The redhead exclaimed happily.
The blonde laughed and, grinned. "I missed you too, senpai!" He said ecstatically as he hugged him back. Everyone was so happy to see him.
Everyone accept William.
Or, so it seemed.
William had missed him just as much as everyone else but, he didn't know how to show it so, he just stood there silently watching everyone else. He even had the other's moth. He hated bugs but, it was the least he could do since he blamed himself for the other's leaving. He felt maybe that, he had over worked him and, had been too cruel. He didn't really think about changing until, the other left.
Now, he was just standing there awkwardly as he watched everyone talk about how much they loved and, missed him and, apart of him was jealous.
Jealous because no one would ever be happy to see him come back from a long vacation or, something or other. Save for Grell of, course, he didn't really have anyone who would.
That was when the blonde saw him. He internally panicked. "Boss Spears!" The younger of them called over. He looked up and, adjusted his glasses. It had become a nervous habit. Grell seemed to know that and, was smirking at him. He glared at him and, looked back at Ronald.
"So, I see that you're back.." He said mumbled looking down at the ground. Everyone was grinning and, waiting in anticipation at what the cold man was going to do. He took a jar out of his pocket and, walked over to the horde of people. They all moved out of the way and, made room for him.
Ronald looked up at him with a gaze of pure elation. He looked down at the ground and, sighed. He handed him the jar and, was about to walk away but, he felt arms wrap around his back. He craned his neck and, saw that Ronald was..hugging him? What on earth was he doing?
He looked down at him and stood there for about 15 minutes before he awkwardly hugged him back. He rubbed his back and, sighed softly. The blonde let go and, smiled warmly up at him. "You kept Mothra!" He said with a light laugh. "I thought you hated him!" He joked softly.
He adjusted his glasses. "I thought since you were gone, someone would need to to take care of him." He said in his same emotionless tone of voice. But, there was a hint of shyness in his eyes. He wasn't used to this kind of contact.
The blonde grinned up at him. "Thanks boss. You're the best." He said patting his back. He laughed and, ran back to the horde of people and, began socializing with them once again. William smiled shyly and walked back to his office.
Today was a good day.
