"Tris, look at me." Tobias says, but I turn my head again. "What's wrong?"

"I'm trying to remember when we met. " I reply.

"Well that's easy. We were young." He starts, hoping for me to remember and finish.

"I was seven, you were nine. I would always look at your eyes because in the daytime they would shine like the stars. Marcus and my dad would try to picture us together, but my mom would laugh and tell them to go watch some football or something. Oh. Do you remember the swing I had? We used to take turns pushing each other. "

"Yeah." he chuckles. "I also remember, one time, after I had a fight with Marcus, I came over and told you I would beat you up. I was so mad. But you kissed my nose and skipped off. When I ran after you, ready to throw a punch, you laughed and told me I didn't have the guts to kiss you."

"And I ran, straight into a big oak tree. I fell down, hard, then you came up. You kissed me right on the lips and ran off."

"Then you were sixteen." Tobias says.

"So? I still looked like I was six." I huff. He laughs and kisses my nose. "What?"

"But you didn't. I looked the same with my 'beautiful, shining eyes.'" he mocks. I punch his arm really hard. "And you know, our dads don't know about us. What would they say if they were actually right?"

"Well, even in our good times like two A.M. train rides and creepy mud monsters at the marsh, we still had that really big fight when we couldn't even stand to be in the same room for a whole week. I had to stay at Uri's place because my apartment wasn't set up."

"Now we're what? 20? So we've been together for a few years, right?" His eyes gleam with mysterious pleasure.

"Yeah." I say. "Why?"

He suddenly drops down and looks for something until he pats his pocket and pulls out a velvety black box. He raises one knee and looks at me. "Beatrice Elizabeth Prior, will you marry me?"

I squeal and hug him tightly around the neck. "Yes! Yes! Yes!" He laughs and pulls back from the hug to kiss me.

"I love you, Tris."

"I love you, too, Tobias. More than you will ever know."
