"Another portal, huh?" Silver The Hedgehog stated as he and Petey Piranha both looked at various fairy tale creatures were popping out of the warp in the middle of Toad Town, with the two being on the lookout for Dry Bowser and Toadette, who were missing.

Petey mumbled as he noticed there being a lot of cats out of all the fairy tale creatures, trying to get them away from him as he sensed that they wanted to jump into his pouch.

"Yeah, I hear ya. I just wish why we always get involved in these crossovers..." Silver stated as he noticed a couple of cats on their hind legs walking to him, the hedgehog getting nervous as the cats were purring due to being attracted to him.

Dry Bowser and Toadette found themselves in the formerly hidden city of San Lorenzo, the duo noticing that it was empty outside a certain orange cat standing on hind legs with boots and a cowboy hat.

"Say, aren't you that cat who hung around with Shrek?" Dry Bowser asked as he rubbed his bony chin with his right skeletal hand, being able to recognize the sword wielding cat with ease.

"I... don't seem to recall." Puss In Boots stated as he stretched his arms, observing both of the new visitors as he nodded his head. "You two seem odd even for fairy tale creatures. You're not from here, are you?"

"Actually, we kinda came here through a portal." Toadette explained as she moved her hands around. "And I'm certain that same portal is what took away the folks who populate this city!"

"I'm certain that may be the case, mushroom girl." Puss stated as he adjusted his cowboy hat. "Perhaps we should team up to get to the bottom of this?"

"Or in the case of that, on top." Dry Bowser interrupted as a giant ball of yarn came rolling towards them, with Dry Bowser and Toadette dashing into one of the buildings as Puss just stared at it, his eyes getting widened as he was attracted to yarn due to him being a cat and all.

"How can I resist?" Puss purred as he willingly took in the yarn ball squishing him, with it rolling through the city as it made dents in various buildings while leaving behind pieces of yarn.

"We gotta go get him!" Toadette exclaimed as she moved her arms about.

Dry Bowser brushed back his red hair as he clenched his teeth. "Kid, how are we going to be able to get him? He's attached to that yarn, you know cats love that stringy stuff!"
